Sarah loves… May/June

Sarah loves a sizzling pink nail polish, tanned legs and feet, a night-time skin treat and her friend’s gorgeous feet…!

Guerlain Colour Lacquer

There’s something about sunshine, blossom drifting like confetti over gardens and pavements, and the promise of tanned limbs (see below!) tipped by coloured nails that demands a certain shade of (virtually) Shocking pink nail polish.  So I emitted a small yodel of joy when I saw the new Guerlain colours, all ten named for the iconic perfumes.  My beyond-everything  favourite is Champs Elysées, which will adorn fingers and toes until autumn sends me into rich darks again.  PS This new range features a particularly wide and extra-flat brush – much easier to get good coverage – and also promises long-lasting colour and shine – and It truly delivers.

He-Shi Express Liquid Tan

He-Shi Express Liquid Tan 300ml YR MR (1)Now a little tip: keep your eyes peeled because right now we are doing a prize draw on this fantabulous self-tanner.  I thought I would just give you a heads-up – or rather down… looking at my wonderfully golden legs (which have received compliments!).  In fact, it’s a three-stage process: you exfoliate – but don’t moisturize just before – apply the tinted tanning liquid with the special mitt, then keep up the silkiness daily with the Soufflé Moisturiser.  I LOVE the results… and you will too.

Liz-Earle-Superskin-ConcentrateLiz Earle Superskin Concentrate

This isn’t new, but it is a BIG Love. (And of Jo’s, too.) I have several wonderful night-time oils but this trumps the lot with its simple fragrant blend of organic rosehip oil, argan oi, neroli oil and natural vitamin E.  My complexion just looks extra plumptious and peachy when I use this.   I stroke it right down to my décolletée (finally showing signs of the years going past fast) and it’s a boon too for cuticles.

Micro-Pedi

micro-pedi

My riding buddy Jane confided that she had terribly rough skin on her feet, with cracks on her heels – the works!  So I gave her this to try and she reports: ‘The Micro-Pedi is an amazing little gadget, the best thing I have ever used on my feet.  Within a few days of using this, followed by Manuka Doctor Foot & Heel Cream my feet are soft and smooth.  I now use it daily and my feet feel amazing, ready for the summer sandals.  I will recommend it to my friends.’  The science-y bit is that the battery-operated device uses a micro-mineral roller that spins round at 30 times a second to buff away dead, hard, jagged skin on soles and feet.  You can choose from two easily interchangeable rollers, coarse and extra-coarse (!).
