Two great scrubs. Two quite different great scrubs, but they landed on our desk at the same time so we thought we’d share them at the same time.
First up, a powerhouse of a product from Origins, with an Origins-ishly divine aromatherapeutic scent that wakes you right up – fresh yet ‘grounding’ at the same time, with essential oils of clove and wintergreen. The active ‘scrubb-y’ particles are from bamboo charcoal as well as salt and sugar, so it’s on the gritty side – not one for baths, but great in the shower. And if you’re a gardener, it’s completely brilliant for scrubbing hands clean after a getting-your-hands-grubby session of weeding or digging.
If you’re the sensitive type, though, opt for Ameliorate Skin Soothing Body Polish, from a renowned gentle-to-skin range – and so this new scrub of theirs is accordingly kind, but nevertheless sloughs away dead skin cells to reveal brighter skin, while nourishing with kind-to-skin ingredients. (90% of users said it felt ‘non-aggressive’ when applied to skin, which is a major boon for anyone with touchy skin, eczema or psoriasis.) It’s also said to be particularly beneficial for anyone suffering from Keratosis Pilaris (chicken skin); if this is your experience, let us know.
So: whether your skin is touchy or can easily take a power-buffing, these two should help you scrub up very nicely indeed.
